The second season in Telltale Games' acclaimed adventure game series will continue the story of the orphaned girl Clementine. Gamers will play as Clementine as they struggle against the undead and each other through chapters that will test players morals, according to Telltale. Left to fend for herself, she has been forced to learn how to survive in a world gone mad. Many months have passed since the events seen in Season One of The Walking Dead, and Clementine is searching for safety. But what can an ordinary child do to stay alive when the living can be just as bad – and sometimes worse – than the dead?
"The terrifying nature of Robert Kirkman's world has allowed Telltale to push the boundaries of interactive drama in video games to a place that has had fans anxious to know what will happen next in this series," Telltale Games CEO Dan Connors said in a statement. According to Connors, playing as Clementine will challenge players' expectations for how to survive in a world where "no one can be trusted."
Like the first season of The Walking Dead, Season Two will span five episodes released digitally beginning 2013 and running through 2014.
